A K-12 school located in Muskegon, MI, is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for a 12-week contract position beginning December 10, 2025. This onsite role involves supporting approximately 40 students at the elementary level, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and write detailed reports to support individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with parents and school teams by actively participating in IEP meetings.
- Monitor and report student progress toward established goals during reporting periods.
- Develop and implement data collection systems for functional assessments and positive behavior interventions.
- Analyze and graph data to track student progress effectively.
- Assist in and provide professional development related to school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree from a graduate social work program approved by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), including at least a 500-hour supervised practicum.
- Current temporary approval, continuing temporary approval, or full approval by the MDE Office of Special Education.

- Hours: Approximately 8:15 AM to 3:55 PM, Monday through Friday
